On November 27, 2018, Guy Debelle, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Reserve Bank of Australia, the Deputy Chairman of the Reserve Bank of Australia, and the Chairman of the Australian Federal Reserve Risk Management Committee, visited CCG’s Beijing Headquarters to discuss with CCG scholars the issues such as China-Australia relations, multilateral trade mechanism, Sino-US trade friction and its impact on Sino-Australian trade relations.

Foreign trade and economic officials visit CCG for multilateral trade system discussion
On Oct. 17, the Center for China and Globalization hosted at its headquarters a group of foreign government officials for trade and economic affairs led by New Zealand Vice Minister of Trade and Economy Vangelis Vitalis and held a discussion about the prospect of the Cross-Pacific Trade Partnership Pact and the agenda for the modernization of multilateral trade system.

On August 2, Australian Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment Simon Birmingham, visited the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) headquarters in Beijing to deliver a speech on the topic of Mutual benefits through trade liberalization and multilateral trade reform. During his speech, he exchanged ideas with CCG experts on issues such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), trade opportunities, the role of the US and China in international trade, and the mutual benefits of trade liberalization and multilateral trade reform.
